Project Name:
MFSI supports the US Army’s Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA) at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL in developing the Army’s authoritative repository for logistics data. The scope of the contract includes T & M development and operations and a managed services data center. MFSI applies their knowledge of the functional, technical and business process environments of LOGSA and the supported global customers and responds and adapts accordingly to technology advancements.
Duties:
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Coordinates installations and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.
Job Duty 1: Set and manage Linux configurations – 50% of time
Job Duty 2: Audit Linux Systems configurations – 25% of time
Job Duty 3: Develop and document Linux OS management policies – 5% of time
Job duty 4: Troubleshoot and manage problems – 20% of time.
Required Skills:
6 years of RHEL System Administration & Operating System patching support.
Build Linux systems, physical and virtual.
Problem diagnosis and resolution for applications in VMWare ESXi/Linux x86 environment.
