General (Ret) John "JC" Campbell
JC is a member of MFSI’s Board of Directors, having 37 years of distinguished military experience, including multiple combat command deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, serving as the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army and most recently, as the 4-star Commander of all international forces in Afghanistan from 2014-2016. Earlier in his career, JC commanded the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment and deployed his Brigade Combat Team to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, as the initial US force on the ground. in that war. JC then served as the Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver (DCG-M) for the 1st Cavalry Division and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as the DCG-M. In 2009, JC was named Commanding General, 101st Airborne Division and commanded Regional Command East in Afghanistan from June 2010 to May 2011, in the first US division level combat deployment since WWII and then became the Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Plans and Training (G-3/5/7). JC is a 1979graduate of the USMA at West Point, NY, holds an MPA from Golden Gate University and is also graduate of the US Army War College and the Army Strategic Leader Development Program.
LTG (Ret) Bernard "Bernie" Champoux
Bernie is a member of MFSI’s Board of Directors, with 39 years of exemplary military service, including 14 years in Army/Joint Special Operations assignments including multiple command and staff assignments with the US Army Ranger Regiment. Bernie commanded the 25th Infantry Division as the final combat unit deployed to Iraq and most recently, was the Chief of Staff, United Nations Command and CG of 8th Army in S. Korea, retiring from active duty in March, 2016. Previously, he served as Deputy Chief, Legislative Liaison to the Secretary of the Army and also Deputy CG, Operations for ISAF in Afghanistan. He has literally deployed around the world in multiple operational deployments including three combat tours. Between deployments, Bernie served as Army Chief of Legislative Liaison with Congress for 2 years. He received his BA, Sociology from St Anselm College, MA and is a graduate of the US Army War College and the Army Strategic Leader Development Program.
BG (Ret) James "Craig" Nixon
Craig is a member of MFSI’s Board of Directors and a combat decorated, special operations soldier awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart. From 2013 and 2015, as CEO, he led ACADEMI thru a number of mergers and acquisitions ultimately creating Constellis Group - a global leader in security and training, with over 10,000 employees operating in 30 countries, as revenue tripled to over $1 Billion/year and EBITDA increased five-fold. Prior, Craig spent two years as Partner at the McChrystal Group leading consulting engagements with Fortune 500 technology companies. A 29-year Army veteran, Craig served as Director of Operations for JSOC, Commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment, Director of Operations for USSOCOM, Deputy CG for the 25th ID in Iraq, and Deputy J3/Director Joint Security Office, USCENTCOM. He participated in a number of contingency and combat operations including the invasion of Panama, Task Force Ranger Operations in Somalia, and seven deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Craig graduated from Auburn University with a degree in business and is a graduate of the Air War College, earning his MS, Strategic Studies.
